2022 CAHF Showcase Awards

The Showcase Awards are designed to recognize facility, company, chapter or regional efforts promoting the positive image of long-term care. CAHF’s Showcase Awards are presented at the Legislative Conference in Sacramento and recognize community events in the following four categories:

Community Event, Media Event, Grassroots Effort, and Social Media

WINNER: Villa Siena - Winter Wonderland

WINNER: Villa Siena - Winter Wonderland

Villa Siena created a "Winter Wonderland" for residents and their families to safely enjoy outdoors.  The facility purchased 35 Christmas trees and asked family members to sponsor a tree by decorating it along with their resident.  Visitors were able to reserve an outdoor table to enjoy the beautiful lights and scenery while enjoying a beverage and selection of pies at a specially built Gingerbread Café. Students from the local high school sang Christmas carols while the residents and families enjoyed the evening.  The trees were left up until January to keep the mood bright and festive.
