Support for Southern California Wildfire Victims
CAHF is collaborating with Elevate Charities, a public charity supported by one of its members, Ensign Services, Inc., to facilitate charitable donations aimed at supporting those affected by these catastrophic events.
Through its already established Help Our HeritAge Program, a contribution/donation can be made by completing a Donation Form. It can be noted that the money should be used, if possible, toward those impacted by the fires. A check would be attached and mailed in with the Donation Form.
Another way money can be donated is by clicking on the yellow “Donate” button. Credit cards are accepted using this method. In both instances, the donations would go toward helping seniors who don’t have basic necessities to help improve their quality of life. For example, an electric wheelchair that needs a battery, dentures, hearing aids, etc. A resident does not have to be affiliated with a specific facility to receive assistance. A committee reviews the applications and distributes donations based on the individual need and the available funding. The money cannot be earmarked for a specific facility or resident: the charity’s committee makes the final decision on how the funds it receives are distributed.
