AHCA 2017 National Bronze Quality Award Winners Announced

Washington, DC – A number of CAHF member facilities were among hundreds of nursing centers nationwide recognized with a 2017 Bronze-Commitment to Quality award by the American Health Care Association. The national quality award program spotlights providers across the country that have demonstrated their commitment to delivering quality care for seniors and persons with disabilities.

The California facilities winning a Bronze quality award include:

Stollwood Convalescent Hospital, Woodland
Villa Valencia, Laguna Hills
Alamitos West Health Care Center, Los Alamitos
Bel Vista Healthcare Center, Long Beach
Windsor Gardens Care Center, Hayward
Clear View Sanitarium, Gardena
Clear View Convalescent Center, Gardena
Ararat Nursing Facility, Mission Hills

The winners have demonstrated the ability to implement a performance improvement system. They are now eligible to move forward to develop approaches and performance levels that meet the criteria for the Silver - Achievement in Quality award.

Implemented by the AHCA in 1996, the National Quality Award program is centered on the core values and criteria of the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program, which is the foundation of the metric-based AHCA Quality Initiative. The program assists providers of long-term and post-acute care services in achieving their performance excellence goals.

The awards will be presented during AHCA’s 68th annual Convention and Exposition in Las Vegas, Nevada, October 15-18.
