Nursing Home Leader Academy (NHLA)

Step into the CAHF Nursing Home Leader Academy (NHLA) for a transformative journey designed to elevate your leadership skills, strengthen process improvement techniques, and cultivate a peer community dedicated to advancing your personal and professional growth.

This exclusive nine-month initiative is crafted to enhance nursing home quality outcomes and operational success.

Participants will meet in person three times throughout the year:

  • March, in conjunction with Spring Advocacy Day
  • July, preceding the Summer Conference
  • November, prior to the start of the Annual Convention

Registration for all three events is included with your NHLA participation.

In addition to the in-person gatherings, the program includes two educational webinars and four one-hour online meetings with program faculty and fellow participants. These virtual sessions support ongoing learning, collaboration, and project progress.

The program also assigns a meaningful quality improvement project tailored to your facility’s needs. Participants receive dedicated guidance to help navigate diverse improvement approaches and successfully achieve their identified project goals.

During the NHLA experience, you will:

  • Engage in dynamic exercises and discussions covering essential leadership topics.
  • Benefit from personalized mentorship from a faculty of skilled nursing experts.
  • Receive structured support through both virtual and in-person engagement.
  • Forge lasting connections with fellow NHLA participants.

The NHLA curriculum not only enriches your knowledge but also offers the opportunity to earn up to 28 Continuing Education credits. Your tuition includes complimentary registration for key CAHF events, including Spring Advocacy Day, Summer Conference, and the Annual Convention & Expo.

Your journey with NHLA is more than a program—it’s a transformative experience that propels you toward leadership excellence and operational success.
