The CAHF Nurses Council is seeking nominations from the membership for the Nurse of the Year Award. The winner of the award will receive free registration and be recognized at the Nurse Leadership Conference.
The Nurse of the Year Award is designed to recognize an outstanding individual who has dedicated their professional career to the field of long-term care.
All nominees will be judged on the following criteria:
RN or LVN with at least five years (5) experience in the long-term care setting
Nominees may not currently hold a statewide office in the CAHF Nurses Council
Actively involved in CAHF at the local or statewide level
Currently employed by a CAHF member home or facility
Dedicated to continuing professional growth in the long-term care field
Innovative in dealing with resident and staff issues and in the delivery of nursing care in a long-term care setting
Winning entries will receive:
Recognition at CAHF’s Annual Convention and Expo in Palm Springs
A Nurse of the Year Award plaque
All nominations must be submitted online by EOD on Monday, August 12, 2024.
Judging will be conducted by the CAHF Board of Directors and award winners and non-winners will be notified within 4-5 weeks.
