The course consists of 13 modules. These modules can be taken at your own pace, the perfect complement to your busy schedule.
The program was written by D. Michael Splain, LCSW Consultant, along with several outside consultants.
There are no minimum requirements as the course is designed for entry level individuals
QCHF has obtained 24 CEs for the program (NHAP, BRN).
There are two required books for the program, which are included with the registration fee. Please notify QCHF at cmerced@cahf.org with your order confirmation number and both books will be shipped directly to the registrant. The two required books for the program are:
A Guide for Nursing Home Social Workers, by Elise M. Beaulieu, ACSW, LCSW, Springer Publishing Company, ISBN 0-8261-1533.
Psychosocial Interventions in Long-Term Care, an Advanced Guide, by Gary Hartz, Ph.D. and D. Michael Splain, LCSW, Taylor and Francis Publishing Company, ISBN 0-7890-0189-6; (800) 634-7064.
Upon completion of the program QCHF will issue a certificate of completion, along with a SSD pin for the SSD to wear.
