The SOS: Survey Outcome Solutions event will consist of three live webinar sessions and one in-person Session. You must attend all four to be eligible for CE hours

Log in access will be sent at least 24 hours prior to each webinar.

Webinar session dates/Time:
October 6th, 13th and 20th, 2022 / 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM (each webinar)
Registrants must be individually logged in for each full webinar to be eligible for CE hours.

In person session date/Time:
October 27, 2022 / 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

CE Hours: 16 Hours Total
Registrants must attend each webinar and one in person session to receive CE hours (NHAP and BRN)

Descriptions:This course is designed to take you to the next level on your survey competencies and prepare you for the “new normal’ for the regulatory and risk management landscape. CMS has issued directives to state agencies on survey oversight in nursing homes. CMS has also released revisions to Surveyor Guidance for Phases 2 & 3 of the Requirements of Participation (RoPs), surveyors will use this new guidance for surveys beginning on October 24, 2022. . Is your team ready for focused infection control surveys combined with complaint/ERI surveys, recertification surveys combined with complaint/ERI surveys and potentially longer surveys and/or larger survey teams? This 16-hour course is broken down into 4 separate sessions that are designed to fit into your very busy schedules. The first three sessions will be via webinars.

Webinar session one: is designed to advance and up-skill your survey preparedness competencies for: Focused infection control, complaint/ERI, recertification, re-licensing, and staffing audit surveys.

Webinar session two: centers around managing these survey outcomes and will cover the top survey findings for each survey type and best practices focused on outcome solutions.

Webinar session three: will focus on mitigating the risks of survey outcomes and the relationship to litigation.

In person Session four: will be an in person seven-hour live session where attendees will work together with our speaker experts to utilize and build on the knowledge and skills learned in the prior three sessions to advance their competencies on survey outcomes and solutions.

All registrants of QCHF in-person meetings will be required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or documentation of a negative COVID-19 PCR test* within 72 hours, or a negative antigen test within 24 hours, on-site before entering the meeting space. All individuals in attendance must agree to abide by any prevention or safety measures that QCHF, event venue, local county health department, the State of California or Center for Disease Control may have in place during the event. QCHF continues to encourage wearing masks during indoor events except while eating or public speaking.

There will be no exemptions granted for any reason. Attendees that do not provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination, or provide documentation of a negative COVID-19 PCR test within 72, or a negative Antigen test within 24 hours, will not be admitted.

We will continually review this policy and may make changes at any time as circumstances dictate or allow.

*The following is acceptable for proof of negative COVID-19 test and results: PCR and antigen tests, including rapid tests, are all acceptable. Test results must be from a test provider or laboratory and show the patient’s name, type of test performed, date of test and negative test result. Acceptable proof of a negative COVID-19 viral test result: a printed document (from the test provider or laboratory) showing test result or an electronic test result (email, text message, or mobile application record) displayed on attendee’s phone or mobile device. Self-administered rapid tests are not acceptable.

BOARD REFUND POLICY: In order to receive a refund, cancellations for QCHF/CAHF classes must be made five (5) business days (Monday-Friday) prior to the beginning of the course. Cancellations must be in writing to cmerced@cahf.org. Transfer of registration is done ONLY if notified in writing prior to the start of the class.
