Description:
CNA and LVN/LPN/RN specific e-learning modules addressing bathing with and without CHG
Module 1: Bathing and Showering for CNAs
In this course, CNAs will learn more about: why it is important to give baths and showers, how to give a bed bath, how to shower a resident, what to do for special bathing situations, and how and when to ask for help during bathing or showering.
Module 2: Bathing and Showering with Chlorhexidine (CHG) for CNAs
In this course, CNAs will learn more about: why it is important to give baths and showers, how to give a bed bath using chlorhexidine (CHG) antiseptic soap, how to shower a resident using CHG, what to do for special bathing situations, and how and when to ask for help during bathing or showering.
Module 3: Bathing and Showering for LPNs/LVNs/RNs
In this course, LPNs/LVNs/RNs will learn more about: why it is important to give baths and showers, how to give a bed bath, how to shower a resident, what to do for special bathing situations, and how to help and encourage Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to be comfortable with common bathing or showering situations.
Module 4: Bathing and Showering with Chlorhexidine (CHG) for LPNs/LVNs/RNs
In this course, LPNs/LVNs/RNs will learn more about: why it is important to give baths and showers, how to give a bed bath using chlorhexidine (CHG), how to shower a resident using CHG, what to do for special bathing situations, and how to help and encourage Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to be comfortable with common bathing or showering situations.

BOARD REFUND POLICY: In order to receive a refund, Cancellations for QCHF/CAHF classes must be made five (5) business days (Monday-Friday) prior to the beginning of the course. Cancellations must be in writing to cmerced@cahf.org. Transfer of registration is done ONLY if notified in writing prior to the start of the class.
