Course Description:
This course will address the fundamental components of the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) by closely reviewing MDS scheduling requirements, the Care Area Assessments (CAAs), and Care Planning.  The course also will dive into the anatomy of each Quality Measure and how it is generated based on MDS coding.  Participants will actively participate in a group exercise on how to write a CAA and determine what causes a CAA to be triggered. 
This course will be conducted virtually.  Participants will be expected to connect with a camera and audio connection for active participation and course credit.  

Registrants must be individually logged in from 8:30AM - 4:30PM to receive CE hours (NHAP 7; BRN - 7)

BOARD REFUND POLICY: In order to receive a refund, cancellations for QCHF/CAHF classes must be made five (5) business days prior to the beginning of the course. Cancellations must be in writing to cmerced@cahf.org or via FAX at 916-446-4454. Transfer of registration is done ONLY if notified in writing prior to the start of the class.
