In response to the current effect of COVID-19, QCHF’s top priority is to help you prevent the virus from entering your facility given the high risk of our residents.
With this in mind, QCHF has decided to move the MDS 3.0 Basic Training to a virtual setting. You will be able to attend the training from the comfort of your home and or office. The web-based training will be occur in real time and will require a laptop/computer and Wi-Fi.
If you would like to register for a future virtual training you will be able to do so online by clicking “EDUCATION & EVENTS” above. If you are unable to pay by credit card and/or require a printable registration form, other arrangements can be made by sending an email to cmerced@cahf.org.
Virtual training experiences will happen in real time on the date and time advertised. They will require a Wi-Fi connection, a laptop/computer and/or a smartphone. For the best experience, we highly encourage you to participate in a distraction-free environment.
QCHF will continue to offer online classes at www.QCHF.org.
Who Should Attend:
Nurses and other IDT members new to their positions or those who have not attended a formal MDS 3.0 coding class. Administrators and DONs who wish to gain understanding of how MDS data impacts payment and 5-Star Ratings and how MDS assessments can support culture change efforts and promote life quality for residents.
This class examines each section of the MDS and how it impacts quality of care, reimbursement, Quality Measures, the Five Star Program and the Quality Accountability Supplemental Payment (QASP) Program. Updated changes to the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) are outlined in each section of the MDS.
Registrants must be individually logged in for both days from 8:30AM - 4:30PM to receive CE hours (NHAP 14; BRN - 14)

BOARD REFUND POLICY: In order to receive a refund, cancellations for QCHF/CAHF classes must be made five (5) business days prior to the beginning of the course. Cancellations must be in writing to cmerced@cahf.org or via FAX at 916-446-4454. Transfer of registration is done ONLY if notified in writing prior to the start of the class.
