| Job Action Sheets |
|
Job Action Sheets are a necessary component of your plan. They provide your staff with the information on what actions they need to take to respond to a disaster. You may assign staff to particular positions (always make sure to have at least one back-up), but the benefit of the Job Action Sheets is that if you are short staffed, you can assign an alternate person to do the HICS position and they will be able to carry it out by following the instructions on the sheet. The sheets also help stressed staff people to not forget particular important actions that need to be taken as the disaster unfolds. Below are some sample Job Action Sheets and a sample HICS organizational chart that you can modify to fit the needs of your organization. It is vital that you review and modify these samplesdon't just download them and stick them in your plan. Sample Job Action Sheets that have been modified to fit long term care needs.
