Through CAHF's Disaster Preparedness Program, groups of member and non-member providers can access in-person training on several topics specifically for LTC including an Overview of Disaster Preparedness, Pandemic Influenza Planning and Disaster Preparedness in the Regulations, among others. The Disaster Preparedness Program also provides education to disaster planners and responders about the unique needs and abilities of long term care, both on state and local levels. CAHF will also be hosting a Disaster Preparedness Conference, Really Ready: Disaster Preparedness for Long Term Care on Sept. 5 & 6 in Anaheim, CA. This conference will provide access between long term care providers, disaster responders and critical infrastructure representatives. It also is an excellent educational opportunity for care providers and state and local emergency planning officials and stakeholders. |
