What's Happening

Issue with CalOptima resolved

In a significant win for CAHF’s Orange County members, the CalOptima Board of Directors has approved CAHF's request to allow payments based upon interim 2015/16 rates, absent final rates being published by the state.

The 2015/16 budget included a 3.62 percent rate increase. Effective immediately, and continuing into the future, payments to providers will now include the increase.

Also approved: In the event of over payments during the interim rate cycle, facilities can negotiate an installment re-payment program of up to six months, so as not to cause financial burden.

Special thanks to Joe Diaz and Karen Widerynski for their continued efforts to address this issue. Watch for more detail on this story in next week's CAHF News.
